Alexander Brott - Paraphrase in Polyphony Beethoven - Piano Concerto No. 4 Janina Fialkowska is recognized as one of Montréal’s greatest musical exports. She graces the world’s stages with stirring interpretations of Chopin and Beethoven. MCO’s founder Alexander Brott brings Beethoven’s Québec connection to life. “Freu dich des Lebens” a short canon which Beethoven gave as a gift to Québec music teacher Theodore Molt, is transmogrified into a series of orchestral variations of contrasting fire and serene beauty created for Beethoven’s bicentenary. |
